It ended the way it deserved to — with a full house. Sushant KC's Pahuna Tour has officially wrapped its Australia and New Zealand run, closing at The Crescent, Parramatta Park in Sydney on 5 September after a five-city sweep that took in Perth (16 August), Brisbane (18 August), Adelaide (20 August) and Melbourne (24 August).
The tour's story became part of its appeal. Originally set for February–March, Pahuna was postponed in January when Sushant KC decided the show should be fully inclusive for families, children and under-18 fans. Rather than refund, more than 3,000 ticket holders held on — and the rescheduled production, presented by TRN AUS and TRN Nepal and powered by Holmes Institute with Grace International, delivered on the promise of a bigger show.
A first for New Zealand
Between the mainland legs, the tour crossed the Tasman for Sushant KC's first-ever New Zealand concert — Auckland's Te Paepae Theatre on 30 August, presented by HOME and Hamro Events. Over 500 registrations landed within 24 hours of the announcement, underlining how fast the Kiwi Nepali community is growing.
What Pahuna proved
For the Australian events industry, Pahuna demonstrated that a Nepali artist can sell a genuine national tour — not a single-city community hall show, but a five-city run with arena-scale production. It sets the stage for an even bigger spring, with 1974 AD's Rock Yatra kicking off its Australian leg in Perth on 23 September and SWAR touring three continents.
