In Nepali rock, Rockheads occupy the heavy end — the Kathmandu hard-rock band whose riffs powered the city's underground guitar scene and whose name still anchors the loudest end of the canon.

The sound

Where much of Nepal's rock mainstream sits melodic, Rockheads brought the distortion — the band the rock-faithful cite when they want volume, guitar-forward arrangements and the heavier tradition of Nepali rock. That reputation makes them a niche but loyal draw in the diaspora, where their shows collect the community's hardest rock audience.

The Australia tour

Their current run covers five cities — Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide (both co-headlining with The Elements' anniversary tour), and Darwin — a rare Top End headline. Full dates and context: Rockheads tour roundup.

Also touring: The Elements, The Edge Band, and Albatross — the season's full picture is in the concert roundup.
