One of the Nepali diaspora's oldest organised communities is meeting in North Carolina this weekend. The Association of Nepali Teraian in America (ANTA) holds its 8th General Convention on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Holiday Inn Raleigh-Durham Airport in Morrisville, North Carolina, running a full-day programme from 9 AM to 9 PM.
Why ANTA matters
ANTA represents families with roots in Nepal's Terai — the southern plains bordering India, home to the Madhesi community.
