Brampton hosted the community's biggest football weekend of the festival season: the 5th Dashain Cup ran September 19–20, 2026 across Andrew McCandless Park and Jean Augustine Stadium, drawing ten Nepali-Canadian clubs from across Ontario — Toronto, Mississauga, London, Barrie, Kitchener, Sudbury and Scarborough among them.
The results
The tournament ran two divisions:
• Open Category — Champion: Bramsauga United 'B', runner-up Three Star FC, winner's prize $8,000
• 30+ Veterans Cup — Champion: Gorkhali FC, runner-up Himalayan Strikers, winner's prize $5,500

More than a tournament
