Bipul Chettri and The Travelling Band Announce Australia 2026 Tour "PRAVAH"
Nepali singer-songwriter Bipul Chettri is set to return to Australia in 2026 with his band, The Travelling Band, bringing a new chapter of Himalayan-inspired folk music to audiences across the country.
The tour, titled "PRAVAH", will take place in August 2026 and will feature performances combining Bipul Chettri's signature storytelling, acoustic arrangements, and songs that have connected with listeners around the world.
Known for blending Nepali folk traditions with contemporary acoustic sounds, Bipul Chettri has become one of the most recognised voices in modern Nepali music. His music has built a strong following not only in Nepal but also among Nepali communities living overseas.
A Musical Journey Across Australia
The 2026 Australia tour is planned as a special live experience featuring Bipul Chettri and The Travelling Band.
The official tour announcement currently lists three Australian cities:
Brisbane – 6 August 2026
Melbourne – 10 August 2026
Sydney – 16 August 2026
The Brisbane show is currently listed as venue details to be announced, while Melbourne and Sydney performances have been confirmed.
Melbourne and Sydney Shows Confirmed

Continuing the Connection Between Nepal and Australia
For many Nepali music fans in Australia, Bipul Chettri's concerts represent more than just live performances. His songs often carry themes of home, memories, migration, nature, and personal journeys — subjects that resonate strongly with people living away from Nepal.
Over the years, Australia has become an important destination for Nepali artists, with growing communities supporting cultural events and live music performances. Bipul Chettri's return continues this connection by bringing Nepal's contemporary folk sound to a wider international audience.
A Career Built on Stories and Simplicity
Bipul Chettri first gained international attention through his unique approach to Nepali folk music. Instead of relying on large-scale production, his music focuses on melody, lyrics, and storytelling.
Together with The Travelling Band, he has created some of the most recognised modern Nepali songs, earning appreciation from audiences across Nepal, India, Australia, and beyond.
Albums including Sketches of Darjeeling, Maya, and other releases have helped establish his position as one of the leading figures in contemporary Nepali music.
What Fans Can Expect From PRAVAH
While the complete setlist has not been announced, fans can expect a performance featuring Bipul Chettri's well-known compositions alongside songs from his evolving musical journey.
The PRAVAH tour promises an evening focused on music, memories, and storytelling — bringing together audiences who have followed his work for years and new listeners discovering his sound for the first time.
As the August 2026 dates approach, further event information, venue updates, and ticket announcements are expected through official channels.
