Nepal's legendary folk-rock band Nepathya is heading back to Australia this December.
After completing their highly anticipated Seoul performance on September 25 — a reported ~10,000-capacity show at KINTEX — Nepathya has announced an Australia Tour for December 2026, marking another international chapter in the band's three-decade-long journey.
The announcement came through a new Australia Tour poster featuring frontman Amrit Gurung and the band, confirming December 2026 with a note that further details will follow. The band's official calendar currently runs through Seoul (Sep 25), Dubai (Oct 4) and a series of shows across Nepal and India through late November — with Australia sitting directly after that leg.
Sydney is already taking shape
While the complete Australian schedule has not been released, a promoter event listing has already appeared for The Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park, Sydney — December 2026, exact date TBA, with a waitlist collecting registrations ahead of ticket sales.
The Hordern is a natural fit: Nepathya played the venue in March 2025, where the first show sold out and a second was added by demand. The band's 2023 Australia tour — an eight-city run covering Darwin, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart — also stopped at the Hordern.
Australia loves Nepathya
Sydney in particular has been one of the band's strongest international audiences — their 2019 show at Luna Park's Big Top drew around 2,950 people and became a landmark for online ticketing of Nepali concerts. Their repeated return across 2023 and 2025 cements Australia as one of Nepathya's most important touring destinations.
What happens next
Cities, exact dates, venues, promoters and ticket links have not been announced yet — the official poster states "More Details to Follow." Given the band's touring history, fans in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart and Darwin will be watching closely.
