Nepathya — Nepal's most legendary folk-rock band — is returning to Australia in December 2026. Announced through Nepa~laya after their September 25 Seoul show at KINTEX, the official tour poster confirms the December window with "More Details to Follow." About Nepathya

Formed in the early 1990s and fronted by vocalist Amrit Gurung, Nepathya blends traditional Nepali folk melodies with rock arrangements — signature songs include "Resham," "Bhedako Oon Jasto," "Sa Karnali," "Chhekyo Chhekyo" and "Taal ko Pani." Nepathya in Sydney

Nepathya's Australia Touring History

Few Nepali acts tour Australia as deeply as Nepathya. Their January–February 2023 tour played eight cities — Darwin, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart — at venues including the Darwin Entertainment Centre, Fortitude Music Hall, Manning Clark Centre, Metro City Perth, Hordern Pavilion, Forum Melbourne and Hobart's Odeon Theatre. In March 2025 they returned to the Hordern Pavilion where the first show sold out and a second was added. Sydney has long been their strongest market — the 2019 Big Top Luna Park show drew ~2,950 fans.

What to Expect at a Nepathya Concert

A Nepathya show is part concert, part community gathering — thousands of Nepali fans singing along to folk-rock anthems that span three decades. Expect full production, extended live arrangements of the classics, and an atmosphere closer to a festival than a gig.
