About the Australian release
About the Film Acharya is one of the most anticipated Nepali releases of 2083 BS. It is Nikhil Upreti's second directorial venture — presented by his own banner, Nikhil Upreti Production Pvt. Ltd., produced by Krishna Bhattarai with Mithilesh Tiwari as executive producer. The film arrives in Nepali cinemas on Ashoj 9, 2083 (25 September 2026), coinciding with Indra Jatra and the start of the festival-season movie window. The official trailer, released through OSR Digital, ran to nearly three and a half minutes and positioned the film as a mass action entertainer — fights, stunts and intense confrontations, with Upreti's character trained in Sanskrit and known as an "Acharya". The film's music is composed by Yug Bhusal, with vocals by Gauranga Shekhar Sharma and Jyotsana Jha. Reported runtime is approximately 2 hours 53 minutes. Cast & Crew The film stars Nikhil Upreti in the title role alongside Purnika Sijapati (making her acting debut), Sajeena Shrestha, Deep Raj Rana, Promod Agrahari, Raghu Babu and Raghu Karumanchi. Writing credits go to Nikhil Upreti with Manoj Bishwakarma, Navraj Krishna Thapa and Saurabh Lama. Acharya in Australia — Cinemas & Showtimes Big-
