Perth’s Nepalese community will once again unite this September to celebrate Indra Jatra, one of Nepal’s most iconic and vibrant cultural festivals.

Organised by Nepa:Guthi Western Australia Inc, the celebration will showcase:
✨ Traditional dances & masked performances
✨ Authentic Nepalese food stalls
✨ Cultural showcases that bring the streets of Kathmandu to life

Indra Jatra is one of the grandest festivals of Kathmandu, celebrated in honour of Lord Indra, the God of Rain, and the Living Goddess Kumari. The festival is marked by lively street processions, chariot pulling, music, and sacred rituals. Beyond being a religious celebration, it’s a heartfelt expression of community, heritage, and togetherness.

This year’s Perth celebration promises to capture the same spirit, bringing families, friends, and well-wishers together for an unforgettable cultural evening.
